How to organise design inspiration

Tags beat folders once a library passes two hundred saves. Here is a system that holds up.

HTML

Paste into your page's head.

<link rel="preconnect" href="https://fonts.googleapis.com">
<link rel="preconnect" href="https://fonts.gstatic.com" crossorigin>
<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family=Inter:wght@400;500;700&display=swap" rel="stylesheet">

CSS

Font variables and defaults.

/* Inter + Inter */
:root {
  --font-heading: "Inter", system-ui, sans-serif;
  --font-body: "Inter", system-ui, sans-serif;
}
h1, h2, h3 { font-family: var(--font-heading); font-weight: 700; }
body { font-family: var(--font-body); font-weight: 400; }

How it works

From a mood to code in four steps.

  1. 1

    Pick a mood

    Modern, friendly, editorial, classic or technical.

  2. 2

    Choose a pair

    Each card shows the heading and body fonts.

  3. 3

    Preview your words

    Type your own headline to see it in the pair.

  4. 4

    Copy the code

    HTML for the head, CSS for the stylesheet.

FAQ

What makes two fonts pair well?+
Contrast in one dimension and harmony in the rest. A serif heading with a sans body works because the shapes differ while proportions and x-heights stay close. Two very similar sans-serifs usually look like a mistake.
How many fonts should a website use?+
Two at most: one for headings and one for body. One family with several weights, such as Inter, is often the best choice for product UI.
Are these fonts free to use?+
Yes. Every font here is from Google Fonts and is free for commercial use under open licences.
How do I add the fonts to my site?+
Copy the HTML into your page's head and the CSS into your stylesheet. The link loads only the weights the pairing uses.
Which pair is best for a SaaS product?+
Inter on its own, Manrope with Inter, or Plus Jakarta Sans with Inter. All three are highly legible at small sizes and look current.
