How it works

  2. 2

WebP is smallest. JPG for compatibility, PNG for lossless.

75% and a max width cover most uses. Results update live.

    Download

FAQ

How do I compress an image without losing quality?+
Use WebP at 75 to 85% quality and resize to the largest width you actually display. At those settings most images look identical to the original and are 50 to 80% smaller. For pixel-perfect graphics such as logos or UI with sharp edges, keep PNG.
Are my images uploaded to a server?+
No. Compression runs in your browser using the canvas built into it. Your images never leave your device and nothing is stored.
Which format should I choose?+
WebP for almost everything on the web: it is smaller than JPG at the same quality and supports transparency. JPG when a platform does not accept WebP. PNG for graphics that need lossless edges.
Why did a file get bigger?+
It was already well optimised, or you chose PNG for a photo. Switch to WebP, lower the quality a little, or set a max width.
How many images can I compress at once?+
Up to 30 per batch. Download them one at a time or all together.
